Dietitians and Public Health NutritionistsWorkers in this unit group plan and supervise the preparation of diets for individuals or groups, supervise and evaluate nutrition elements of health programmes and assist in appraising the various factors related to nutrition and food problems in the community. Their functions include: planning and supervising the preparation of therapeutic or other diets for individuals or for groups in hospitals, institutions and other establishments and for workers in particular sectors; participating in programmes of nutrition education and in nutrition rehabilitation activities; planning and co-ordinating nutrition programmes and advising on nutrition aspects of community food problems and health programmes.
